Pretty good artwork there. At least DP did something right, since I was personally extremely irritated by the fact that the final film doesn't even show or hint at a wedding in the ending, or in any of the animated medium, especially considering the only wedding they did show was the one Belle ruined in a frankly disgusting manner. Why couldn't they show Belle and Adam actually marrying instead of leaving behind a hint that marriages were a bad thing (which is honestly Katzenberg and Woolverton's fault)?
I know you didn't design the dress, but I must say, I'm also especially glad that the dress is actually white. Some renditions give it a more cream color than actually being white, which gave the implication that Belle may not have been a virgin at her first wedding (The reason the bride's dress is white is because the bride is supposed to still be a virgin at the time of her first wedding).
That being said, you said you did illustrations for various Disney books, including the book this illustration was used in? I must ask you some things: 1. This book the illustration was used in. Was it by any chance the same book that used this illustration of the triplets (two of them, anyways) crushing on Lumiere while Adam was getting Belle's favorite flowers? And 2. I've been hunting a book down for quite some time, it featured Belle and Adam going to the village as a vacation of sorts, and apparently Adam gets swooned by the triplets in a similar manner to the then-recently deceased Gaston during his stay. The only thing I know about the book beyond those details is that it is apparently called Weddings (according to Angie Y. aka Britestarrobot) and that it definitely isn't the same book as the one whose page I linked to above. Can you tell me the full name of the book, or at least the ISBN number so I can have an easier time finding it? I kinda need that book for a project I'm doing, involving the triplets, and I'd appreciate it if I could get the full name of the book or at least the ISBN number.
EDIT: I do have to ask one thing, though. Since the triplets attended Belle's wedding, at least according to Wedding Wishes (even competing for the bouquet), why are they absent in that picture? Or is this just for those actually living at the castle?
I don't remember the name of the book. I would literally get three or four illustrations to do a week for Disney and they were all for different projects so after a while it became way too hard to keep track of all of it. :/
I know this one! It is in the book I purchased at Disneyland Paris last week. It is called "Enchanting Stories" or something like that and this picture is part of a short story about their marriage^^ It's my favorite one, I loved it soooo much! I can't believe you were the one who drew it, it is magical!
